Established in 2012, the Supply Chain Sustainability School is a renowned educational platform that offers free learning opportunities to enhance the skills of professionals working in or aspiring to join the built environment sector. With a strong focus on sustainability, the School covers 17 key topics, including Labor Supply, Equality & Diversity, Environment, Social Value, and more. By becoming a member, individuals gain access to a vast array of learning resources and CPD-accredited content. Moreover, the School organizes CPD training sessions and networking events across the United Kingdom.
Living Wage Foundation
The Living Wage Foundation is an organisation based in the United Kingdom that advocates for the payment of a “living wage” rather than a minimum wage. The living wage is designed to provide workers with enough income to cover the basic costs of living, such as housing, food, transportation, and other essential expenses.
Unlike the minimum wage, which is set by government regulations and often falls below what is required for a decent standard of living, the living wage is calculated based on the actual cost of living in a particular area. It takes into account factors such as housing costs, inflation, and the needs of individuals and families.
The Living Wage Foundation sets and promotes the living wage as a voluntary benchmark for employers to follow.
